Meet the Staff of Staring Plaza
Veterinarians Brett A. Berryhill, DVM
Dr. Brett is a native of Baton Rouge and graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He and his wife, Dr. Lucie, purchased Staring Plaza Veterinary Center in1987 and have provided high quality care to their patients ever since. In his spare time Dr. Brett enjoys competition archery, soccer, and spending time with his kids.
 Lucie Barker Berryhill, DVM
Dr. Lucie is from Lockport, LA. She graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She and Dr. Brett have been married for over 20 years and have four children. In her spare time, Dr. Lucie enjoys reading, walking her dogs, and spending time with her kids.
 Lori Howell, DVM
Dr. Lori is originally from New Orleans and graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She has practiced in Louisiana and Florida. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her two children and two dogs, Barney and Scoobie. She is a HUGE LSU fan! Geaux Tigers!!!
Office Manager Ruth Mason
Ruth is from Iowa, but has lived in Baton Rouge for many years. No newcomer to the veterinary scene, Ruth has many years of experience working in the veterinary field. Definitely an animal lover, Ruth has 15 pets of her own, including: ferrets, chinchillas, birds, reptiles, dogs and cats. In her spare time she enjoys playing with her grandchildren.
Technicians Walter Davis
Walter is a native of Baton Rouge and has been with Staring Plaza for several years. His duties include technical and maintenance work, but his favorite duty is cuddling puppies and kittens. In his spare time he enjoys fishing.
 Brenda Brown
Brenda is a native of Louisiana. She has 8 cats, 3 dogs, 4 Amazon Parrots, 2 Pygmy
goats, a chinchilla, 3 horses and a Tomato frog named "Rotel". In her spare time she
enjoys showing her Arabian horses and rehabilitating wildlife.
Receptionists Diana Wascom
Diana is a native of Baton Rouge, but has lived all over the world. She has been with Staring Plaza for over 20 years. Her skill level is excellent! She is diligent, thorough and compassionate towards her patients.
 Nadia Faradj, Receptionist
Nadia was born and raised in Baton Rouge. She lives at home with her 6 dogs, including a Great Dane named Lola, and a cat named Jayde. In her spare time she enjoys movies, reading, and rescuing animals. She also enjoys learning about horses through her mom and her horse named Oscar. Nadia loves animals and truly wishes she could save them all, which explains her growing nimber of pets!
Caregivers Michael Ogden, Caregiver
Mike is a native of Texas, born and raised in San Antonio home of "DA SPURS!" He is a newcomer to the veterinary scene, and is currently a pre-vet student at LSU. He is a big time animal lover (except for horses), and has owned dogs, cats, hamsters, ferrets, red-eared sliders, tree frogs, a conure, and a beta fish named “Moe.”
 Emily Creed, Caregiver
Emily was born and raised in Baton Rouge. She is a senior at the University Lab School. She has a dachshund that she loves very much! In her spare time, Emily enjoys running and playing with her dog.
Groomer Jessica Short, Groomer
Jessica is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she has been a professional groomer for over five years. Definitely an animal lover, she has one dog named “Roxie”, and two cats named “Wood Grain” and “Suede.” In her spare time, she enjoys painting pottery, reading, and traveling.
